Grey's Anatomy is like heroin for me. I have literally spent every moment of my daughters nap times over the last two days watching the first season on dvd. Before I make myself sound horrible, please remember there were only nine episodes in the first season and each show is only 42 minutes long because I don't have to sit through commercials so it's not like I watched 27 episodes,,, really,,, who would have time for that? But it is still slightly embarrasing that I had time to watch the nine episodes. The show is just THAT GOOD! And my husband's out of town, so I didn't have to be completely embarrased about the fact that I hung out in my PJs eating popcorn for dinner and being totally engrossed in a tv show. I don't think I have been this addicted to a tv show since Amazing Race first came out and that says a lot because anyone who knows me knows the Amazing Race is my first love. All I can say is I can't wait until Sunday to find out what happened between George and Meredith. Poor George, you just know he's going to get his heart broken. And with that I'm on my way to find a support group for this type of addiction.
Here's a new picture of my other addiction,,, can she get any cuter? I'm betting yes!
Unfortunately, for Avery, V-Day stands for vaccination day! She was definitely a trooper though, sad that I can't say the same for mom. I don't know what it is but when you know pain is going to occur for your child you have this huge urge to bundle her up, carry her into the mountains and hybernate for the winter. Sure, innoculations are good, but a mom isn't really thinking about that when doctors are jabbing needles into her baby. Avery did really well until the second shot when she realized the first one REALLY HURT! What do you mean we have two more of these to go? In the end we gave her some baby tylenol, cry, cry and cry some more and finally, let her drift off into a nice little slumber. She has woke up twice to eat and now it is past her next feeding time but I have been told to let her sleep,,, and you don't have to tell me that twice. And get this! She's asleep in her crib! Usually when I have her try to take a nap in her crib (we're trying to transition her out of her bassinet) she acts like the thing is going to set her on fire.
Well, it seems I have spoke too soon, as I typed that last sentence the little miss woke up. I'll leave you with a day in pictures!
Wow Mom, this Valentine's Day thing is great! Do I get chocolate or roses?
I don't mind the doctor's office, they're just going to take my temperature right?
I am really not pleased! We are not coming back here! If they think they are making friends by sticking them with needles they need to know it's not working
What was in those needles? I'm feeling sleepy,,, very sleepy.
Nope, not the players! Come on now, do you really think I know any of the players on either team? I only watch the game to see the commercials.
The game day lineup I am speaking of consists of the food we are serving at our Super Bowl shindig. After seeing what I am making I now know why our country is so overweight. But goodness gracious, it's the Super Bowl, so I get to entertain. Here's what we are having.
So yeah, enough food to feed an army,,, or should I say football team?
Colbie Caillat: Coco
I just purchased this CD after it was reviewed on a local radio station the other day. Easily, one of the best CDs I have purchased in a long time.
