Oh Yes I Can!

The running program is going well. So well that I am now running thirty-four minutes in a stretch. I know, it's not much for some people but for me? For me, it's HUGE! Thirty-four minutes pretty much equates to two and three quarter miles. Not fast by any means but I'm not going for speed, I just want to finish the 5k.  I'm only one quarter of a mile away from that 5k mark and I'm shocked that I'm going to make it! I'm also ridiculously proud. So proud my family wishes I would shut up about it already! But I'm not gonna! Because, did you hear? I can run thirty-four minutes!!! You're jealous, admit it!

You rock Jen!!! :)
And I am jealous because you *are* fast- or at least faster than me. You must be doing a 12 min. mile, mine is usually more of a 13-14 min mile so I consider you to be quite speedy! Keep it up!

keep it up jen!!!

I am jealous. You could probably kick my butt too. Not that I want to fight you! I'm just saying.

Yes, yes, yes, I AM jealous. And inspired. But maybe I'll recover from this surgery first!!!

What I'm Reading

  • Dr. Seuss: Horton Hears a Who
Because I'm a mommy and who am I to deprive her of Dr. Seuss.
  • John Grisham: The Innocent Man
A true story about a man convicted of a crime he didn't commit. Gripping and terrifying.
  • Khaled Hosseini: The Kite Runner
I've already read A Thousand Splendid Suns by the same author but have not read the Kite Runner. I've heard it is even more amazing than Splendid Suns so I am looking forward to beginning it.

What I'm Listening To

  • Colbie Caillat -

    Colbie Caillat: Coco
I just purchased this CD after it was reviewed on a local radio station the other day. Easily, one of the best CDs I have purchased in a long time.
