Thanks!

Just wanted to say a big thank you for all the nice comments in regards to my 5k. It really was an exhilerating experience and one I am very proud of. It's been incredible how much the quest to run a 5k has changed my life. I have exercised at least every other day since the last week of July and I'm enjoying it more than ever! My eating habits have also changed naturally to help me in my running. I didn't lose a lot of weight while training but now that I've gotten past the training portion and am just running for fun and not limiting my time - and seriously watching what I put in my mouth - I have started seeing the scale move downwards.

Through this experience, I have become a RUNNER and I love every second I am pounding the pavement. I feel so strong and in control and best of all,,, it gives me an hour alone with my thoughts - or lack there of - and with a toddler who is constantly in motion and wanting attention, it's an hour much needed!

Thanks again for motivating me and cheering me on!

What you got out of it is exactly what I'd love to achieve. I'll be in touch!

YOU GO GIRL! My 'mental accountability buddy'!

I'm so proud of you and know that we'll continue running races and getting better each time.

Don't quit now! There's nothing but success ahead for you!

What I'm Reading

  • Dr. Seuss: Horton Hears a Who
Because I'm a mommy and who am I to deprive her of Dr. Seuss.
  • John Grisham: The Innocent Man
A true story about a man convicted of a crime he didn't commit. Gripping and terrifying.
  • Khaled Hosseini: The Kite Runner
I've already read A Thousand Splendid Suns by the same author but have not read the Kite Runner. I've heard it is even more amazing than Splendid Suns so I am looking forward to beginning it.

What I'm Listening To

  • Colbie Caillat -

    Colbie Caillat: Coco
I just purchased this CD after it was reviewed on a local radio station the other day. Easily, one of the best CDs I have purchased in a long time.
