Sickness

By the title of this post you would think I was speaking of morning sickness due to my recent announcement. Surprisingly, I am feeling phenomenal! Everybody else in my house? Not so much. The stomach flu has hit our home and thank goodness I don't have any morning sickness yet because I don't think I would be able to clean up after Rob and Avery without constantly running for the toilet myself. The stomach flu can only be described with one word - disgusting.

The good news is that today everyone seems to be back to their old selves and I now get to return to my daily rigamarole (I've always wanted to use that word! Is it a word?) I am going to update the blog tomorrow with a recap of all the craziness that was the holidays and to gush over how blessed we are. We really do have an amazing life,,, even if the stomach flu does hit our home once in a while.

***Thanks Susannah for checking up on me***

I was worried you were up to no good with hyperemesis again. So glad to hear its not - but sorry about the gastric flu. We've got similar here - Norovirus - and hospitals are closing to new admissions all over the country with it. Dreadful. But I'm glad everyone is on the mend now. And I'm really glad that you are fine. I had hyperemesis with my first, Rachel - week 1 to week 40 - and it only stopped when she came out! But only 3 months of morning sickness with Jess, mild nausea with Sam and nothing with caitlin - so it gets better!

What I'm Reading

  • Dr. Seuss: Horton Hears a Who
Because I'm a mommy and who am I to deprive her of Dr. Seuss.
  • John Grisham: The Innocent Man
A true story about a man convicted of a crime he didn't commit. Gripping and terrifying.
  • Khaled Hosseini: The Kite Runner
I've already read A Thousand Splendid Suns by the same author but have not read the Kite Runner. I've heard it is even more amazing than Splendid Suns so I am looking forward to beginning it.

What I'm Listening To

  • Colbie Caillat -

    Colbie Caillat: Coco
I just purchased this CD after it was reviewed on a local radio station the other day. Easily, one of the best CDs I have purchased in a long time.
