Repetition

Conversations with Avery:

Me: "Avery, you look so cute today!"

Avery: "I know!"

Me: "Avery, You're a bit stinky, I think you went poop."

Avery: "I know!"

Me: "Avery, you need to eat your dinner."

Avery: "I know!"

Are we seeing a pattern here? Every time I tell her something in a matter-of-fact tone she instantly responds with, "I know!" like she's saying "well, duh mom!" At first I didn't know where she picked this little phrase up from,,,, until I realized I say it about a million times a day! It's obviously time to start watching what I say while I am driving, it would not be good to have Avery repeat any of the language I use when I get cut off in traffic! I would be kicked out of playgroup.

Here are some new pictures of Miss Know it All!

She's such a lovely little miss!!! And obviously knows her own mind. Wait until she's a teenager and saying the same thing with such conviction! Today I heard Sam say to Caitlin. "You have two choices. You can either stay in the pushchair or you can get into your car seat. That's your choice!" Hmmm. I wonder where he gets THAT from!

she is so cute. and chockful of attitude. wait until she adds the traditional teen-age eye roll and exasperated sigh!!

Well duh. If I looked that cute all the time, I'd say I KNOW too!

I love these pictures! You need to make a motage called: The Many Faces of Avery!

Oh crap, my first post on your site has a typo! I suck!

What I'm Reading

  • Dr. Seuss: Horton Hears a Who
Because I'm a mommy and who am I to deprive her of Dr. Seuss.
  • John Grisham: The Innocent Man
A true story about a man convicted of a crime he didn't commit. Gripping and terrifying.
  • Khaled Hosseini: The Kite Runner
I've already read A Thousand Splendid Suns by the same author but have not read the Kite Runner. I've heard it is even more amazing than Splendid Suns so I am looking forward to beginning it.

What I'm Listening To

  • Colbie Caillat -

    Colbie Caillat: Coco
I just purchased this CD after it was reviewed on a local radio station the other day. Easily, one of the best CDs I have purchased in a long time.
