Hint of Spring

It's been really lovely here for the last few days, so lovely that I was able to take Avery to the park yesterday with her friends. Sure, she fell backwards off the big-girl swing and bonked her head but beyond that it was a lovely day (I'm striving for mother of the year! I won't tell you how many other times she's hurt herself this week, she definitely inherited my clumsiness!) It's so nice to hear all the kids outside playing after school; playing basketball, riding bikes and chasing eachother in a good old-fashioned game of tag. The only thing I'm not enjoying so far is the scent of my backyard, it's amazing how much dog poop can be hidden under all that snow! (Yeah, I said it!) Just another chore for me tomorrow! Happy Spring!

Eewww, that should be a Rob-chore! The park was fun! I'm glad that Avery was none the worse for wear only moments after the swing tragedy!

It snowed Massively here today. the first snow at Easter time we have had in YEARS!!!

What I'm Reading

  • Dr. Seuss: Horton Hears a Who
Because I'm a mommy and who am I to deprive her of Dr. Seuss.
  • John Grisham: The Innocent Man
A true story about a man convicted of a crime he didn't commit. Gripping and terrifying.
  • Khaled Hosseini: The Kite Runner
I've already read A Thousand Splendid Suns by the same author but have not read the Kite Runner. I've heard it is even more amazing than Splendid Suns so I am looking forward to beginning it.

What I'm Listening To

  • Colbie Caillat -

    Colbie Caillat: Coco
I just purchased this CD after it was reviewed on a local radio station the other day. Easily, one of the best CDs I have purchased in a long time.
