Exhausting!

Yeah, this is going to be a wussy post but it's all I've got. Do you know how hard it is to be pregnant and also be a mommy to a very active two year old? It's exhausting people! Ridiculously exhausting! Yes, this is me whining. But... she's a cutie, and when she smiles at me or does something silly I am so thrilled to be her mom!

I love love LOVE this pic Jen! Thank you for posting it.

SHE COULD WIN CONTESTS WITH THAT PHOTO! I know how exhausting it is... when I was 8 months pregnant with Caitlin (she wasn't born till I was 42 weeks) and Sam was nearly 2, it was the hottest summer we have had here for YEARS. Years and years. We would have thunderstorms most nights and each night we'd think that would break the heatwave, but none of them did. I don't do heat and humidity at the best of times. But pregnant too? Someone was having a laugh and it wasn't me! Steve would say things like "I don't remember you being this tired when you were pregnant with Sam." No kidding. That's because I didn't HAVE Sam running around constantly. But you know what saved me? I bought a small Little Tikes slide. We put it in the front room next to the sofa. I laid down on the aofa with my arm out, holding the slide steady, and Sam would climb up, slide down, run round. Climb up, slide down, run round. While I lay there sayding "Yay Sam!" at appropriate intervals!!!

Exhausted? Boy, you ARE a wimp!

Kidding, I'm exhausted all of the time too and I don't have an excuse.

What I'm Reading

  • Dr. Seuss: Horton Hears a Who
Because I'm a mommy and who am I to deprive her of Dr. Seuss.
  • John Grisham: The Innocent Man
A true story about a man convicted of a crime he didn't commit. Gripping and terrifying.
  • Khaled Hosseini: The Kite Runner
I've already read A Thousand Splendid Suns by the same author but have not read the Kite Runner. I've heard it is even more amazing than Splendid Suns so I am looking forward to beginning it.

What I'm Listening To

  • Colbie Caillat -

    Colbie Caillat: Coco
I just purchased this CD after it was reviewed on a local radio station the other day. Easily, one of the best CDs I have purchased in a long time.
